Gordy & Sons is co-sponsoring the prestigious 19th annual side-by-side Adams Cup tournament.

Held throughout the day on Saturday, May 4 at American Shooting Centers in Houston, the much-loved event is held in honour of the city’s very own Cyril Adams, one of the most influential figures in the revival of interest in British guns that swept America in the 1980s and 90s.

The popular Adams Cup attracts more than 50 shooters, from novice to expert, who tackle a variety of challenging clay targets with their own side-by-side shotgun.

American Shooting Centres owner Ed Arrighi said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Gordy & Sons to our fantastic event this year. The Adams Cup is something that purveyors of fine old English guns look forward to from across Texas and beyond.”

Mike Burnett, Gordy & Sons’ retail manager, added: “Given the Gordy family’s love of English gunmakers, it made complete sense for the store to be involved. Gordy & Sons will have a pop-up booth at the event showcasing our range of old English guns as well as more modern examples. There will also be a selection of AYA shotguns available for competitors to try.”

Entry costs $150 per shooter, which includes refreshments and lunch.

It is free to spectate.
