Cased David McKay Brown side by side 28 bore ejector gun with 29” barrels. Choked light modified and modified. Length of pull of 15 3/16” over a checkered butt.

 

Straight hand grip, double triggers, round bar trigger plate action, auto-safety, doll’s head third bite, single bead on a raised matted rib, gold inlaid “SAFE” ahead of the DMB style safety catch, maker's name, “DAVID McKAY BROWN”, on both sides of the action, serial number on button strap in raised letters, vacant gold oval, fluted comb, checkered wrist and forend with mullered borders, and an Anson push button forend release. The barrels read “DAVID McKAY BROWN” and “32 HAMILTON ROAD BOTHWELL SCOTLAND”. The gun is housed in dark brown leather case by the maker with a maker’s label, red baize, key, oil bottle, snap caps, two-piece cleaning rod, cleaning cloth, and a jag, mop, and a brass brush in a leather pouch. Standard proofed in London in 2009 with 2 3/4" chambers. The gun was completed on October 7th, 2010.

 

Engraved by Creative Art with classic Scottish scroll. Barrels by Jim McDonald, locks by Douglas Procter, stocked by Brian Sinclair, and actioned by Robin Moir. Regulation, case color hardening, and finishing by David McKay Brown. Case color hardened action and blued furniture with 80% of case colors remaining. Exhibition grade walnut stock. Stock shows minor scratches consistent with light field use. Pristine bores and bluing on barrels. Clean and crisp checkering. Top lever right of center, the gun is on face, and the ejectors are in time.
