Mar 20: Indifly + Oliver White + Wind River Reservation

Posted by B. Boyette on Mar 20th 2024

Mark your calendars: we're hosting Indifly and Oliver White at Gordy & Sons Wednesday, March 20 for an evening of fly fishing travel, the Indifly initiative and details on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming.

Indifly started out of a project to help an Indigenous village in the heart of Guyana (Rewa) develop a fly fishing eco-lodge. The project and its success created a natural roadmap to expand the model to other areas, and ultimately spawned an organization (Indifly) with a vision to champion Indigenous people, as they steward 80% of the earth’s biodiversity.

Indifly works alongside Indigenous communities to bridge barriers to conservation goals through fly fishing. Home to the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho Tribes, the Wind River Indian Reservation is one of the most spectacular wild and remote places in the lower 48. The 2.3 million-acre Reservation includes some of the best fishing in Wyoming with over 1,100 miles of streams and 265 lakes containing a variety of trout species. Join us to learn more about Indifly's work on the Wind River Reservation.

We'll kick off the evening at 6pm and it'll run til around 8pm. We'll have drinks on hand and some light snacks as well. We'll see you there!
