Used Piotti King 1 12 bore sidelock ejector gun with 27” barrels. The gun is choked skeet and improved modified. Length of pull of 14 9/16” over a checkered butt.

Straight hand grip, double triggers on a square bar action with front being articulated, non- auto safety, 7-pin locks, raised cross-filed concave rib with a single brass bead, removable striker discs, drop points, small button style safety catch, semi-beavertail forend, pierced top lever, beaded fences, rolled edge trigger guard, checkered wrist and forend with mullered borders, and an Anson push button forend release. The top rib reads “FLLI PIOTTI”. Gold inlaid serial number on the bottom strap, maker’s name on the left side, and a crown on the top lever. The gun is housed in a canvas case. The barrel flats show standard Italian proof marks with the year code “AS” (1987). The chambers are marked and measure 2 ¾”.

Engraved and signed by W. Patelli with small scroll, flower bouquets, and game scene vignettes. Woodcock on the right, bobwhite quail on the left and black game on the underside. Coin finished action and furniture. Darker exhibition grade walnut stock. Minor scratches on the stock and a few compression marks on the toe line. Clean and crisp checkering. Excellent bores and excellent bluing on the barrels with minor scratches. Minor silvering where the forend wood touches the barrels. Very minor silvering at the muzzles, consistent with use of a slip. Top lever right of center, on face, and ejectors in time. A nice handling high-quality game gun by a top tier Italian maker.
