Early South Gate Weatherby in .300 Weatherby Magnum with a 22” barrel. Built on a commercial FN Mauser action. Length of pull of 13 5/16” over a black Weatherby while line recoil pad.

Pistol grip with a contrasting color grip cap, single set trigger – most likely Canjar, jeweled bolt, flag safety – operational with the scope, Wetherby stock, cheek piece, adjustable flip up rear sight, brass tip front sight on a ramp, push button floorplate release, initialed inlaid gold diamond on the forend bottom, sling swivel studs on the forend and the toe line, contrasting forend tip, and borderless checkering on the wrist and forend. The rifle is scoped with a Redfield 3-9x Duplex reticle scope with clear optics.

Engraved bottom metal and trigger guard with a raised gold sheep on the bottom metal. Blued action, barrel, and furniture. The rifle remains in very good condition. Lighter straight grained stock with fiddleback. The stock is in very good condition with scratches consistent with field use. Mostly crisp and clean checkering. Good bluing on the barrel with wear in between the front and rear sights. Minor silvering on the edges of the action and muzzle, more pronounced on the bolt release. Very good bore with sharp and crisp lands.
