Join us at Gordy & Sons for our Fly Tying Social on Thursday March 18. We’ll start at 6pm and tie til 8pm, so bring your vise and materials and crank out some flies. This is a FREE event, but contact the fly fishing team at the store on (713)-333-3474 and let us know you're coming so we can grab enough pizza.

Our Fly Tying Socials are open to anyone and are largely unstructured, meaning you can knock out a bunch of flies for Louisiana bulls, Guadalupe trout, or just kick back and enjoy a cold one with some new buddies. Or both! We’ll have drinks and pizza on hand, so come hungry.

Just an FYI, this is not an instructional, step-by-step fly tying class. We host a beginner class on the first Thursday of every month, so if you’re looking to learn the basics, that is the class for you. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t join us for the Fly Tying Social! If you’ve never attended, come check it out, regardless of your fly tying skills. You’ll meet some like-minded anglers, listen to some good tunes and pick up a few things from the group.
