New AyA No.2 Deluxe in 16ga with 27" barrels, featuring hand-detachable sidelocks. Weight is 6lb 4oz with the balance point 1/8" forward of the hinge pin. Chokes are IC/Mod, fixed. Action and lockplates are engraved with floral scroll in full coverage with a silver coin finish. Beaded long-tang trigger guard, top lever, and lock screw thumb piece are blued in the traditional style. The straight-grained Turkish walnut enables a very slim, straight wrist with diamond cross section. Stock finish is satin oil over a blank stock oval and checkered butt. Checkering is point-pattern and connects cleanly behind the bottom (rear) of the trigger guard tang. Anson rod forearm latch is contained by a steel forearm tip cap.
The 14" LOP, parallel comb, and greater-than-usual cast make this AyA well-suited to either a lady or a stockily-built man.
