If you've always been curious about fly tying but didn't quite no where to start, this night is for you. Join us Thursday, Sept. 1, at Gordy & Sons for our Beginner Fly Tying Class.

We'll tie flies from 6 to 8 pm at the store, and we'll provide everything you need to tie your first couple of flies. You don't need to bring a thing. You'll learn to tie a couple of the most widely used flies in both freshwater and saltwater: the Wooly Booger and the Clouser Minnow.

Our instructors, Marcos and Lester, will walk you through each step, from placing the hook in the vise to whip finishing and cutting the final thread. You'll learn to tie both flies, and also pick up skills that will help you tie many other useful flies for whichever species you are pursuing.

We'll order a couple of pizzas and have some cold sodas and beer readily available as well. Seats are limited in this class, so contact us soon to reserve your spot!
