Cased E. M. Reilly 12 bore ejector gun with 30” Damascus barrels. The gun is choked skeet and modified. Length of pull of 14 ¾” to a widow’s peak checkered horn butt plate.
Straight English stock, double triggers on a boxlock action, Doll’s head extension with a third bite, auto safety, smooth concave rib with a single front brass bead, drop points, checkered wrist and forend with mullered borders, engraved gold oval on the toe line, and an Anson push button forend release. The gun is housed in a period canvas case with brass corners. Circa 1893 gun with 198? (year digits not fully legible) London reproof marks for 2 ½” chambers. Chambers measure 2 ¾”.
Near complete coverage with small scroll. Silvered action and blued furniture. Very good overall condition. Excellent checkering and wood condition as refinished with minor scratches and compression marks. Excellent bores and Damascus pattern with sign of minor oxidation on the left barrel close to the muzzle. Engraving on bottom strap has softened and so has the maker’s name and address on the top rib. Top lever left of center and the gun is slightly off face. The ejectors are out of time with the right ejector kicking into the face.
