W & C. Scott & Son 12 bore pigeon hammer gun with 32” barrels. The gun is choked full and improved modified. Length of pull of 14 15/16” to a checkered butt.

Prince of Wales grip, double triggers on a square bar action, Jones underlever, passive doll’s head third bite, half cock safety, springed nipples, extractor, slightly raised flat file-cut rib with single brass front bead, lever release forend release, drop points, wraparound checkered wrist and checkered splinter forend with mullered borders. The gun is housed in a modern plastic case. Circa 1891 gun proofed to shoot 1 ½ oz loads with 3” chambers per the older Birmingham proof marks. Reproofed in London in 1989 to 4 tons per square inch.

Near complete coverage of small scroll engraving with maker’s name in bold on both sides. Case color hardened action and blued furniture. Well figured straight grained replacement walnut stock and forend. Excellent overall condition. Good amount of case colors remain although dulled. Near pristine bores and excellent bluing on barrels. The checkering remains crisp and clean. The wood is in excellent condition with minor scratches. The right barrel is slightly off face with no movement against the action.
