Cased EJ Churchill Imperial XXV 12 bore sidelock ejector gun with 25" barrels. Choked improved cylinder and modified. 14 5/8" length of pull over a red rubber butt pad.
Prince of Wales stock, double triggers on a square bar action, auto-safety, cross filed raised Churchill rib, small front bead, vacant silver oval, drop points, gold inlaid "SAFE" ahead of the safety catch, gold inlaid crown on the underside and XXV on the rib, maker's name on both lockplates, Anson push button forend release, and a splinter forend. The gun is housed in a maker’s compact toe-under leather case with a canvas cover, an oil bottle, snap caps, cleaning rods, mop, and a brass brush. Included letter from the maker confirms that this 1920s gun had new barrels made by the maker in 1996. The new barrels are proofed in Birmingham with 2 ¾” chambers.
Embellished with the very recognizable Churchill's Imperial grade engraving. Case color hardened action and blued furniture. Action is silvered. Well figured walnut stock. Excellent checkering, as recut, and stock with minimal signs of field use. Excellent bluing and pristine bores. Top lever right of center, on face, and ejectors in time.
