Heritage Stephen Grant Sidelever 20 Bore Hammer Gun with 28" Barrels

Heritage Stephen Grant sidelever side by side 20 bore hammer gun with sleeved 28” plain game rib barrels. Briley thin wall chokes installed. 15 5/16” length of pull over a black leather covered pad.

Straight English stock, double triggers on a round bar action, rebounding hammers, back action locks, single front bead, vacant gold oval, and an Anson push button forend release. Housed in a compact toe-under canvas case with maker’s label, two-piece cleaning rod and accessories, keys, snap caps, extra chokes, choke wrench, and a black leather handguard for the barrels. Letter from the maker, detailing history of the gun included. The gun was completed in 1884 and re-proofed in London in 1984 to 3 ½ tons with 3" chambers.

Scroll engraving across action and furniture. Case color hardened action, locks, and hammers. Blued side lever and trigger guard/bottom strap. Well figured walnut stock. Excellent checkering as recut, some scratches on the stock, wear on the leather pad, excellent bores, and bluing on barrels. The gun is on face.
